Yep, works fine with internal GPS.

I downloaded and installed the trial version. Settings gives me choice of Network Connections. How do I just have it search satellites?

What GPS package? If you mean Verizon Navigator, no.

in my setting network connection is "public/bis''

hiroller i am sorry is that no you dont have to pay for vz nav or no you do have to pay for vz nav

No you do not have to have vznav on the phone or pay for vznav to use garmin and when it comes to vzw not all phones are supported cause the gps is locked but the storm is supported as well as the curve and pearl if you updated the os
