So my pearl with tmobile has .107. My sim card somehow died(it is years old anyway) so i got a new card at the retail store. the guy copied all the info on it(which isnt much since the pearl covers all that now) and ever since then i have a new message icon at the top, even though i have no new messages.

i know the phone inside and out and i've looked everywhere/tried everything, short of 'reformatting' the phone. that takes a long time and i dont want to deal with the hassle unless i must.

any ideas?

Try changing the theme to a different one to see if it disappears. If it does, then switch back to the original theme.

Airbase, if you are certain you have NO unread message (SMS, email, missed call, etc.,) make sure you have followed all these tips for this issue in the FAQ:

i have tried all of that already except for wiping and reloading the OS. Nothing has fixed it so far. (this includes everything the FAQ mentions as well.)

you checked saved messages? I have had one in there and thought i checked everywhere

wierd i got a registration text this morning, and i opened it. now the list is clear.

that was very wierd
