seriously what happened to the term UNLIMITED???
I wish Rogers used 4 gigabytes instead of 25 megabytes for their $60 "formerly called Unlimited" BlackBerry plan.

Consider yourself lucky that the Unlimited "limit" is not 25 puny megabytes!

Default Verizon has officially capped it

verizon has officially capped all "unlimited data" plans to 5GB/line/month.
what an outrage if you ask me.

Why so outraged hell it could be 25 mb like rogers. If you use 5gb of data a month on a handheld you need to have your head examined. And it doesnt say they capped it. They said

Quote:
If more than 5 GB/line/month are used, we presume use is for non-permitted uses and reserve the right to terminate service immediately.

I dont see any issue with this at all. other than they need to change the name from unlimited to 5gb data plan.

I have to agree i used to be a Verizon customer back in 2000-02 and they were great and pricing plans were fairly cheap with unlimited sms and nights starting at 7pm... since then i switched to diff carriers and currently im with cingular...

what upsets me about verizon is the ridiculous bb plan prices and the fact they cripple devices... yes they have a great network and service is top notch but at a cost and with this bb data cap its another blow to us users...

and you ask who uses 5gig... easy.. anyone who watches videos online, online banking , tether and travels a lot even remote administration... So its possible to reach that and more... after all these are supposed to be Smart phones that do it all

the outrage is the play on words...i personally wouldn't use 5GB but there are plenty of people who WOULD

But the user agreement plainly states that you can not stream anything or stay connected over long periods of time that in itself is a TOS violation. SO the point is mute.

They havent capped it they just said if you go over it they reserve the right to cancel.

look dude, i know Verizon works well ( i have Verizon too, and T-Mobile)...but unless your job depends on defending Verizon all over the internet including forums, it seems rather pointless to "fight to the death" in defending every policy they make...sheesh

i think both of you guys should agree to disagree

I am not fighting or even upset I am just trying to understand the point of getting upset when most companys limit their data plans to 25 or 50 mb and verizon has 5 gb people get upset.

And why cant I defend my carrier when everyone else can defend theirs. I have just as much right to say what i want as you or the other guy.

Of coure they not only want to gouge you on hefty priced service plans but make easier for the to cahrce you overage fees. 1ith this pattern of repat consumer behavior I wornder whay apple did not team up with them. Both companys share the same habits screwing over customers lol.

Cheaper isnt always better.
