Ok I been searching for a free not a trial a free HTML email viewer for my curve and Tour. Anyone know of any? I read a lot of free ones from 2007 but now you have to pay and I have a hard time paying for something that was free before. I don't mind a trial if it will keep on working. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys!

I don't have a Storm. I have a Curve and a Tour. I cant see paying $30.00 for each BB seems unreal.

HTML email is available for the Curve on OS 4.5 and higher and on the Tour as well.

Go to Messages > Options > Email Settings > Enable HTML = Yes.

Yeah I did all that still nothing. My one BB the Curve is on a BES so I am ruling that out as a IT Policy issue.. But the Tour is just on the crappy Sprint network.

The issue could be that your BES is not 4.1.5 or higher. It needs to be 4.1.5 or higher and the OS needs to be of OS 4.5 or higher for HTML messages.

If you send yourself a message with bolded, or colored text, how does it show on the Tour? How many email accounts do you have on your Tour?

Yeah that makes sense. I mean it says it is 4.1.5 But I will go on the safe side and just re-due the BB install the latest everything. And try it from there.

I only have two accounts set up the BlackBerry account and a nycap.rr.com account.. You think that could be the problem?

I would just check the settings on both of those accounts to verify HTML is enabled and then try sending bolded or colored text to the device.

The device cannot compose HTML messages, just read HTML messages.

Its says Model: 9530 in your profile. Thats the storm.

I have a curve 8330, OS 5.0.

My email says yes to html and yes to download images.

links still come come in untranslated.

Sounds simple enough but cannot make it work

If the message contains an embedded image it will show without issue. What you're seeing is a message with an image that is a link. You will have to select get images in this case. It is a security feature that RIM has put in place.

Do you get colored text? Bolded text? If so, then you are getting HTML.
