Default OS: 9930 7.0.0.1702/7.0.0.362 (Multilanguage)

Please Login to Remove!

BlackBerry Handheld Software v7.0.0.1702 (Multilanguage)
Will install to any carrier's 9930 by following these instructions.

File Name: 9930AMEA_PBr7.0.0_rel1702_PL5.0.0.552_A7.0.0.362_P TCI.exe
Download Size: 188.320 MB
Language: English
Published Date: 09/15/2011
Download OS here: https://swdownloads.blackberry.com/D...8B1A31018BC7D0

Instructions for installing on the 9930:
1. Download the above OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml." Vista/Win7 users: In the apploader folder, simply click on "Compatibility files" to see the actual Vendor.xml file. Once you've got that - simply delete the vendor.xml file there (even if you've deleted or think you've deleted it in the folder previously) and voila, it will allow you to update to the newly installed OS!
3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

The process may take up to 45 minutes to an hour depending on how much data you have to backup and restore during the process. Once it's done loading the new OS it will reboot (it may do this twice during the entire process.) You will see a black "BlackBerry" screen with a status bar for up to 20 minutes at a time while the DM says "waiting for initialization."
If, for some reason, you end up with a white screen with small icons and the number 507, simply connect to the PC again and run Loader.exe again, and it should load the OS to the device.

Ooh... I can't wait to see what Verizon users say about this update. Eagerly awaiting responses.

Yeah I am not seeing any problems with my OS so not sure I want to risk something going wrong with this update.

Man that sucks I have not seen anything like that on mine, just on my third one because of trackpad issues but the OS has been solid. They are sending me a forth one hope that one is better, might try this OS just because since I am getting a new one anyway.

Installed it will see how it goes over the weekend.

Update:
Looks like they fixed the problem with hiding the sent messages in your inbox was causing problems. At least for me if I tried to do that I would have blank text messages from people that I couldn't delete, unless I unchecked hide sent then I could delete them but if I checked it again they would come back. Not sure if anyone else was seeing that problem, but looks like it is fixed. Appworld is seeming to have some troubles though with connection issues with MyWorld. And won't let me delete BBM.

Also when you hide icons and then do a battery pull or phone reset they come back needing to be hidden again.

Same as previous releases. I assume you know how to workaround that one?

The hidden icons coming back? No don't know the work around for that one. I am getting my new device today so I wasn't going to put this OS on the new one. But what is the work around?

Put all the icons you want to hide into a single folder and then hide the folder.
