I really like my "Mivizu" brand convertible case I got on Amazon... $19 +free shipping if you're a Prime Member.

I need to know a good high capacity charger for auto/or DC current.

I second JSanders comment. That is the same case (and price) I got and it has worked out very well.

I may have to check out that case. I am not thrilled with the Targus one I have.

Another accessory I saw used the other day with PlayBook (by a RIM employee, no less) is a wireless Apple keyboard:

Apple Wireless Keyboard - Apple Store (U.S.)

Worked pretty darn well, too.

The case looks nice, but I have a couple questions...are the USB and HDMI ports accessible on the bottom? It doesnt show that in any of the pictures. Also, quite a bit of the bezel seems to be covered by the case...does that affect navigating around the UI at all?

Thanks!

That case looks very nice. The price right now on Amazon is $14.95.

Is anyone using one of the rapid chargers? There is one that is a stand and there is a plug in. I'm interested in feedback on them.

here is the case I purchased from Ebay for the PB. It has a slot for the back camera and you can stand it up. It is a nice inexpensive case to use. As more and more cases come out I probably will upgrade to a softer leather style case. For the price it is a great case and the seller had quick delivery. I have no complaints with this case.

I do not have enough postings to show the link. So if you look for
BlackBerry-playbook-Genuine-Leather-Case-New- on EBAY you can find this item.

Yes, all ports are accessible, but when the cover flap is open. It lays flat under the PB when open so I have no issues with it.

I have found that the bezel is not covered much and allows for easy navigation.

I'm also interested to know the differences. I've looked at both in store. I consider them quite expensive. I asked an assistant to explain the difference, given their company web site mentioned both could charge the PlayBook twice as fast as the supplied charger, and that as they were both the same price why would I want to buy the one which didn't include a stand. He didn't know! My guess is that the one without the stand is very rapid and the one with the stand isn't quite as rapid.

Yes, those ports are available without removing the Playbook from the cover (just open the cover like a book, to charge) and the camera is visible for taking pictures.

No, the cover does not cover much of the bezel, navigation is easy.

I was looking at this item on Amazon but got a little spooked by one buyer's comment:

"The hole for the rear camera is still on the wrong end, but all in all, the case is very nice."

Have you folks had a problem with the rear camera and the case as suggested by the Amazon commenter?

I have the one that looks like a dock. It is pretty solid and does a good job. The transformer is actually in the dock and not on a separate brick, so it weighs it down nicely. I have a couple of issues with it though.

1) You can not use it with any case that I have seen. Even a bumper would probably not work because of the small lip on the front of the dock.

2) None of the ports are accessible in the dock. It would be great if it just had pass-thrus for the USB and HDMI. It would make it a lot more versatile.

Thanks, I thought that might be a problem with the stand. How quickly does it charge?

Quicker than the standard charger, but I would by no means call it "rapid". Hard to baseline as I usually drop it in at night and pick it up in the morning. Maybe shaves off a third of the time... I will try to look at it more closely next time. Unfortunately, it is one of those things where checking on it skews your results. I will check to see if there is anything in the logs.

I don't know what that comment means as my case has a cutout perfectly placed for the rear-facing camera.

Maybe they put the PlayBook in upside down?

Yes, I use one at home - Along with the free Turner Teknologies "Todays Alarm" App, I use it as my Alarm clock now.

I use an otterbox defender with my playbook. There's no way I could trust myself to leave this thing naked so I knew I would need a heavy duty case. I figured I would go with otterbox since they protect all my other devices. I picked mine up over on playbook accessories. I ordered a few other simple things like chargers, so it was just easiest to order them all on the same site. I really love the defender case. I've already dropped my pb from roughly 3 feet straight to the hardwood , but as expected nothing happened. I might look into trying other cases, but for now I'm gonna go with protection over aesthetics.
