Hello all,

I'm doing a BES migration from one server to another. On the new server, I have all of the prerequesites installed, but I am running into a problem with the BESAdmin mailbox. When I try to add the BESAdmin mailbox, a user which is on the old server, the Exchange connector does not see the user. However, I can put in just about any other mailbox on the Exchange server, and it sees the user and will convert a username into a human name after about a second. The old server has the same account, BESAdmin aka Blackberry Admin. Does anyone have an idea why Exchange wouldn't be able to see the admin account?

Check the spelling in AD and check on an outlook client to see if the name can be resolved.

Are the old and new servers identical OS/Exchange/BES configurations? Are you upgrading any of them?

Try entering the "human name", Blackberry Admin

They're identical, OS-wise, and to the most of my ability, the configurations are the same. I'm trying to install BES 3.6 and then upgrade to the latest version and upgrade the old server to the latest version and then do the transfer.

Thanks for the reply, but that was one of the first things that I tried.

Instead of specifying the Exchange Server name ,use the GC and hit Check Name see if it resolves using the GC.

(I am sure you checked this but , the BES admin account is not hidden in the gal... )
