It seems that every user has this problem. We have BES 4.0.5 and Groupwise 7.
Users can see the cabinet folders on their BB but they can't see the emails that are inside them. They can see them only on their desktops.

Anyone know why?

How to enable specific GW Email Folder Synchronization on a BlackBerry
To enable message synchronization with specific folders in GroupWise, open xxx8220;Messagesxxx8221;. Then click the trackwheel or trackball and choose xxx8220;Optionsxxx8221;. Then choose xxx8220;Email Settingsxxx8221;. Once in the xxx8220;Email Settingsxxx8221; section, click again and a menu will appear. Choose "Folder Redirection", then navigate to and select the specific GroupWise folder(s) that you want to sync with the BlackBerry. Then click once more and choose xxx8220;Savexxx8221;.

I will try this. The users have told me that they were able to see their folder when we had an older version of groupwise 7.

It seems that newer versions of either BES or handhealds are seeing this change. Pretty weird.

RIM does whatever it wants then might respond if we complain enough.

Oh well.

I checked the boxes, then checked the cabinet folders. Still said no messages. How long does it take to sync.

Did you then go into the menu and select the specific folder that you wanted to see? If so, try a "reconcile now".

Keep in mind that you won't see anything that arrived in GW prior to setting up the sync on the folders.
