Default pop email setup from blackberry, or bes only?

Please Login to Remove!

i'm actually purchasing a 7100g tomorrow from cingular. i have read threads explaining how to set the device up for internet thru the cingular apn, which is great. since i'm pretty unfamiliar with the blackberry OS, i was hoping someone could clarify - is it possible to set up standard pop email accounts from directly on the blackberry, completely independant of any blackberry server, or MUST i subscribe to the blackberry $44.95 service to obtain access to web services, and the ability to add pop emails?

thanks for any help!

If you are buying the Blackberry to use for mail, you will need the Blackberry plan.
If you are not on a BES, then you will use the web client (like me).
I set up my local ISP, Yahoo, and other accounts by logging into the Web Client page. It is quite simple once you set it up.
Here is the web client page link: https://webclient.blackberry.net/Web...ite=mycingular

is the web client access included with a blackberry purchase, or is it only included in a monthly blackberry data plan?

In order to do any sort of e-mail with the BlackBerry, you must have a BlackBerry Data Plan.
