Default Custom Folders Empty?

Please Login to Remove!

Howdy All,

I'm really not quite sure how to explain this... but I'll give it a go.

I have a blackberry 8830 and it is BES activated for ages now.

On my corporate mailbox (Exchange 2003 w/ Outlook 2003) I have several custom folders which I like to organize my e-mails.

When I go into the "Messages" on the blackberry, I press the Menu Key and click on "View Folder". I can see a LIST of all of my custom folders, however when I choose them to view it, they will be empty. There is one folder which has one item in it, however it was extremely recent (within the past few hours that I moved into the custom folder from the Inbox).

There are more items in the custom folders that go back by day. However for 99.9% of it, it shows up empty.

Any ideas why this is the case? Or how to correct this?

Many Thanks.

Have you set them up for folder redirection?

Messages > Options > Email Settings > Menu Key > Folder Redirection. Then select which folders you would like to have redirected to your BB.

I ticked off the folders I would like to get redirected (pretty neat... never seen that menu before - the folder redirection one I mean).

However, still no change as far as my e-mails not appearing in the custom folders.

It will not populate previous email into those folders. Only messages you receive to those folders after you made the changes.

I ran into the same issue. Our admins only pushed the last two weeks of emails when we got setup on the BES. I had to re-email myself the older stuff that I wanted on the device.
