I'm not receiving notifications/alerts for my appointments. I have my profile set for a "tone" alarm, but the appointments come and go without any notification.

You need to update your software version on your BB this will fix the problem. BlackBerry® Software Updates

I'm hoping that works, but I just got the 8830 last week, so assume it already has the update. I could be wrong.
