Default No software in application loader

Please Login to Remove!

Iam running desktop manager 3.6, everything was working fine until the user wanted to wipe the device out, instead of doing it by the incorrect password method on the device, he went and reinstalled all the applications on listed in the application loader.

After it reinstalled itself, the tasks and memo did not get synced eventhough they were set in the Intellisync.

He then Deleted these two from the application loader, and reinstalled the desktop 3.6 manager and now is getting now system software loaded.

I have tried installing the reinstalling desktop manager, cleaning registry, and folders, wiped the handheld device and went back into application loader and "no system software was found for your handheld" still appears. And the Memo & Tasks are not shown on the device.

Without upgrading to Desktop Manager version 4, any suggestions how can I get these 2 back, on version 3.6 ?

we are running BES 3.6sp2 and Exchange5.5

You'll need to download the handheld OS from your wireless provider. Install onto the pc and then upgrade using application loader. Be sure to make sure all check boxes are marked when performing the install through application loader.

This worked, I have selected the Notes & Tasks and installed them fine. I can also see the icons on the device now.

BUT when I sync it, these two dont get synched to the handheld from my outlook and as far as i can see its all setup properly.

I'd try going into backup and restore and clearing the tasks and notes. After that is done you should be able to sync again and bring in those items.

My computer crashed. I have reformated and reloaded the desktop manager. Now when I look at the apps loader it doesnt show any of the apps that I have loaded and most of those I lost in the crash (the original cod and axl files i mean) and some of them I had loaded ota and through javaloader, a labor of love over a long time. I can of course do a backup and restore, but being new with the BB I really do not know how to proceed so that I wind up at the point I was before the crash without having to find and reload all these apps specially the ones ota and java loaded since i even lost the steps I had used to convert from jad jar files to cod. Any easy way to do what i need to do. I want to be able to have my desktop apps loader reflect everything I already have on it. Thanks in advance.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but since your drive crashed, any reference to those apps would have been lost in desktop manager. I believe the best you will be able to do at this point is to make a backup of your device and you would be able to restore it to its current state at any given time. You'll probably want to put the backup file somehwere other than your HD ;)

Thanks I have done that, and I know that will always restore me, so I gather then that if i want the desktop to look the same it did I have to walk through the original steps is what you are saying, and I guess to go further and be completely assured, as long as I have the backup current, the way the desktop apps loader looks is inmaterial, since all it will be used for in the future is to load more apps, which you will promptly backup to remain safe, right?

That is the way I see it, but you may want to wait for a second opinion as someone else might have a different suggestion.
