Which telcos offer to add static IP addresses for their devices? I'm trying to get one from Cingular. Anyone have any experience on how to go about doing this?
You can't do that without BES. Only Nextel provides a static IP address for BlackBerry. You don't need a static IP address except on Nextel iDEN's.
However, you can do a static IP address using MDS over BES. Not sure if Mailstreet / BES4U / MyBlueberry IP addresses are static. However, it's a NAT'd IP address.
Why do you need a static IP for BlackBerry? Are you trying to run a server on the BlackBerry handheld itself?
