Default Good homepage?

Please Login to Remove!

Anyone have suggestions for a good homepage? I used to use Google, but now it prompts me for a username and password, which I have no desire to get. Even when it did work, it would link to Google Canada (I'm from the U.S.).

Yahoo is no good either. It limits the number of links listed from the search engine, and further limits hits to sites that pay Yahoo. Also, it tries to configure webpage found through the search engine to a low-res browser, which is unwanted as the Blackberry browser works just fine. Yahoo usually says unable to configure the browser to sites that I want to visit.

MSN's site is okay, but is too cluttered with other crap. I just want the search engine. Any advice?

I use ajc.com (Atlanta paper that I hate but has a good WAP page) or Reuters.com.
You can always enter the web address of a site you like and add "/mobile" to the end to see if they have a smartphone-friendly view.

I use google. It doesn't ask for a username and password and it links me to the US page, not the canadian page.

Sometimes the RIM servers present you to Google with a Canadian IP. That is why sometimes you get Google Canada.

I use http://www.google.com/xhtml (the WAP friendly Google)

The google.com/xhtml website works. It's good to have Google working again.

I dumped Google and Yahoo a couple of years ago for some of the same reasons you mention (plus a couple more) . I use Clusty.com . It's great!
