Good question rambo47. the OP did not indicate if a PC login worked. No response to the service books either.

I have the same problem as described here, since Tuesday,4th March.

I got a message from BB stating I needed to re validate my hotmail email account.

I have had the hotmail account on my BB 9790 working fine for years.

I called my service provider (T Mobile in the Netherlands) and they could only suggest it was a hardware problem on the BB, which as I can sync with my gmail account, is not the answer.

I can log on to my hotmail account via PC.

I've done the take out battery thing. Didn't make a difference.

I tried the Resending service books thing too, but this only prompted a message to my gmail account, which I also have on my BB, and is working fine.

Hotmail is the problem.

Any further advice anyone can offer?

On multiple forums users are also having issues with Hotmail. Some have been able to reset the address and some had to delete the email address and reload it. Android users also. Just about all have said it's a Microsoft issue and has happened before.
And based on posts, Microsoft did some type of update and this causes the issue.

You need to read the posts before your's and stop just posting to build numbers.
