Just got back home after being in Asia for 6 months.

Now the problem is, that I cannot use almost any apps on my phone.

No BB messenger, no Facebook, no Windows MSN...

I got the browser working by downloading some service book file from the web.

How can I get all of these working?!

Finnish carriers do not support BB, so I guess it is impossible to get BB Messenger or App World working (except through wifi).

Still, Im wondering why I cannot connect my phone to wifi. I mean, the phone connects but the wifi tag remains grey and the phone doesnt recieve or send any data.

I got some service books and got Gmail and the browser working with my finnish SIM.

Anyone can give some advice how to get wifi working?

You still need some basic service books to get WiFi working.
Hard to believe the carriers there don't support the BlackBerry.

Yeah... It sucks that they dont provide the service. Finland is the home country to Nokia, so it basicly owns the markets.

Carriers dont provide BB coz no one has it, and no one buys BB coz carriers dont provide it.

I found service books that I can use browser, App world, bbmap and push email(with shangmail). So if you need them I can maybe upload them or try to find them by google. I would like to have MMS working(I have Finnish dataplan what gives unlimited data transfer). You should download IM+ so you can use windows messenger, facebook, skype etc.
I hope someone would edit/hack their service books so we who cant get bis/bes but only regular dataplan could use MMS, BBMessenger and social feed app(rss and social feeds).

There's no "hack" that would allow you to use BlackBerry Data Features without a BlackBerry Data Plan.

Shangmail means all your email goes through a Chinese provider. Do you believe they don't read EVERYthing? I wouldn't go near those pirates for all the tea in.... well.... China.

The built-in browser is, but there are aftermarket browsers like Opera that will let you browse (but not download) without a BlackBerry data plan.
