Best weather app for 8900?? (unlimited internet)
Please Login to Remove!
I have an 8900 on T-Mobile and have unlimited internet so that's not a concern. Just wondering what everyone is using for weather and if there is one that will display the current temp/condition on the standby screen.

I like BB Weather but doesn't show current temp on home screen.

Actually the new version of BB Weather has been updated to show temp and conditions on the home screen. Also has forecast and hourly forecast and has been updated to work with wifi on compatible devices. For some reason not many people even know about this version yet. I believe most people are using version .74, however within the last few days .81, .82, and now it has been updated to .83. I myself am using the curve 8900 with version .83 and it works perfectly. Give it a shot

I will. How do I do this on the 8900? I'm used to my Nokia where I download a file and then just use PC Suite to install stuff to my E71. Same deal on the 8900's or do I need to access the program from the phone itself or ??

I tried them all; bbweather, rim's accuweather signal, yweather, and weatherbug. I found bbweather to be the best of the bunch. It has multiple options allowing both an icon and temp on the homepage but its stand out feature is the ability to have multiple locations saved and easily accesible.

I downloaded and install BBWEATHER .83 from the link above, but the data doesn't fit the screen on the 8900. Is there some other configuration i need to change to make the forecast fit the width of the screen?

that works in the current conditions. In the forecast, some of the data is off to the right of the screen. It must be because I use BBAlpha Sans size - 11. I like the larger font so I don't need glasses to read. Any suggestions is appreciated - if not, it's still a nice application and works very well.

I'm using BBAlpha Serif size 9. Try that and see how it looks.

I downloaded the link from my phone and the app went through the installation process but then failed in the end, displaying the following error: "907 Invalid COD Unable to import ZIP file".
Do I have to go through the desktop manager application to install this program? It looked like I should be able to install this right from the BB
