hi,
i am from india, using bb bold 9700, software ver 5.0.0.680. I have downloaded the updated os 6 from the operator site. Then follow the process like,

1. installed 9700jAsia_PBr6.0.0_rel3049_PL6.6.0.246_A6.0.0.706_ Vodafone_Essar_Limited.exe

2. backup device by using BDM
3. deleted the vendor file from loader file
4. double click on loader and follow the process, it says update sucessful.... but my phone os ver is same like before :(

Then i have tried another process...
after connecting my phone with BDM, it says that "update available ver 6" under the current version, when i selected that update... it going through various normal process and when downloading files, m getting error on the position of "downloaded 369 of 649"... everytime that error says that "check your internet connection and try again"... then i hv done all the steps like cache clear, etc etc... but again it says same.


I want to update my BB in os ver 6....pls helppppp

You actually do not want to update to version 6. It is very slow on the 9700.
