Default Curve not syncing with Outlook

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

Just checking that it is possible for a BB curve to actually do this. I checked if it was possible to sync my outlook emails and calendar when i bought the phone. However i have had nothing but trouble configuring it.

It does sync my emails every hour or so, but ones i delete from the phone are still in my inbox when i get back to the office. My calendar will not sync unless i use the usb cable, which is no use when i am out of office. My outlook uses a microsoft exchange server.

I have tried the latest desktop manager software and older versions, followed various guides to allow two way syncing, but still have the same problems, slow syncing on emails, no syncing on calendar.

Any help appreciated, thanks.

Sounds like things are working as they should on BIS.

Using BIS, email does not sync, but gets pushed to the BB about every 15 minutes or so. And there is no wireless sync for contacts or calendar.

To do what you ant requires BES.

Thanks for that, thought that may be the case.

To get BES, can i simply sign up to a monthly plan or do i need to get my company to install something on the server.

Thanks
