i downloaded opera mini and it was on my phone. I was running the setup and was on the last step and it would say that something is wrong with the internet. Could not connect or something... But I am connected because I can use the bb browser.

Do you all really like Opera Mini? I use the regular Opera on my PC - but I've tried Opera Mini on a couple of PDA's and on my Pearl. Nothing but grief and problems.

Not at all. Any form of criticism has its own positive side.
The idea was of having a new one that unites all previous posts. And as I can see it is working.

This applies to davidariz too:

Opera is a great tool unfortunately cannot configure the wep settings for you.
And I must say that it is normal to be this way as there are thousands of telephony providers with ten of thousand different settings.

I had the same problems with my opera installation. Well installed but I couldn't surf at all while the default browser was working fine.
The reason?
99.9% missing wep settings.

GO TO:
OPTIONS
ADVANCED OPTIONS
TCP

Here we've got the following fields ready to be filled in:
APN:
Username for APN:
Password for APN:

I’m in United Kingdom and my provider is O2.

So, the correct settings in my case are:

APN: mobile.o2.co.uk
Username for APN: mobileweb
Password for APN: password

Save, restart and now surf with opera.

"if you dont have the internet in your plan?..."
i am afraid that you won't be able to access the internet at all with or without opera.

Well, it is disputable.
For a domestic user might not be worth it in those circumstances…
To me is very important. I do spend £10 extra each month as I can't afford loosing an e-mail worth £250 while I am driving or having my tea....

PocketMac doesn't seem to be as flexable with installs as the desktop version. I've installed 2 applications via PocketMac. Both times, I got the same error. The .alx file is a text file in XML format. Down towards the bottom, you'll find a section that reads:

Code:
			<files>
				midpsshe2.cod midpsshe2_1.cod
			</files>
Delete the "_1" file from the list, and it installs fine. YMMV.

Thanks, I got it installed, but NOW when goes through the network setup, at stage 11 I get "Failed to connect to Internet". So now I have to call TMo and ask about the settings. I went to the Opera Mini page and this is what they say to set the phone to, but I don't know where the hell to put all this info in (after wandering aimlessly through the options settings):

T-Mobile (Internet): Manual Setup*

Address
internet2.voicestream.com
DNS
216.155.175.105
DNS
216.155.175.106
Proxy

Address
216.155.175.188
Port
8080

Then I tried laurentino's way: using mobile.tmo.co.us, etc, but that didn't work (I don't know if the TMobile and the us for United States is correct.

But I might add, that Beyond 411 app is the bomb!

Damn, sorry for the multiple posts. For those of us T-mobile users in the US, use the settings in the above link for T-Mobile w/o contract (wap.voicestream.com, guest, guest)
