Hi everyone, new BB owner here! Only had my 9300 for 3 weeks but somehow managed to crack the LCD (despite it being in a case) without leaving a blemish on the external screen

I don't have insurance, and never have, and on a £200 handset it's probably worth the risk of voiding the warranty and doing the repair myself rather than going thru the cost and hassle of official channels. I contacted a supplier of an LCD and he said it should be fine for my phone so long as mine will take the 007/111 he's offering.

So my question is: does anyone know what the chances of this LCD being compatible are? Has the 9300 been produced with a variety of different screens, or will this one definitely work? I don't want to open the whole thing up just to check unless I have to, so figured it'd be worth asking here first. I know similar questions have been asked here before, but it's hard to get a conclusive answer.

You're going to have to open the phone to replace the screen and its the only way your going to know for sure.
You really don't want to spend money on the wrong screen.

There's at least 2 versions, none of the ones I've found have been 077/111, they have been 002/111 or 003/111.

The 007/111 is for an 8520 blackberry and may not be compatible.

Ah ok, thanks. Presumably if my LCD is, say, a 002/111, then it'll take any 002/111, there won't be one specifically for the 9300?

The model number 002/111 (or 003/111) is the specific one for the 9300.
They all have different numbers.
