Default U-key shortcut for next unread mail not working

Please Login to Remove!

Help! I have a Bold 9000...

When I have an email open, I used to be able to press the "u" key to skip immediately to view the next unread email...

now all of a sudden, it's stopped working - rather than automatically opening the next unread email it does nothing, and then when I press the "back" key to return to my inbox, it selects the next unread email, but hasn't opened it, like it used to do.

If I start from viewing the list of emails and press u, it flicks to the next unread email,as it used to do. It's just when I press the shortcut from within viewing an email nothing happens.
