Curious if 9530 owners could post the avrage available MBs of memory? I thought these thigns would have close to 140MBs of memory available out of the box.

Was looking at a coworkers 9530 yesterday, it had only 24MBs free?!?

Mine says 57472260 bytes free and I am guessing around 54.8MBs but that is due to all the apps you loaded on your BB.

to the OP... the Storm has 192MB of RAM... but the actual memory counted in the "status" screen is the flash memory... of which there is 128. Right now I have about 20MB free.

I get constant memory changes. When I first got my storm it had about 34MB then it dropped all the way to 9MB and even went so low it told me I had to delete some files. Keep in mind that I have loaded NOTHING on this device and after a battery pull it went back to about 24MB. When the new software was loaded it brought it up to 28MB. I cant figure why it fluctuates so much but I actually menu close everything to try and stop it but nothing.

Anywhere between 37 and 27MB, depending on how long ago I pulled the battery.

Question: What is all that free device memory for?
