BES log files - any documentation
Please Login to Remove!
Hi All.
Does anybody have documentation on how to analyse the BES log files, preferably offline, ie. not on the live server. I would like to copy the log files off to a remote location and analyse there. Any programs or docs welcome.

There is a good KB article on the different error codes that you need for reference (or take the BES Admin course as the classbook has a good section on this). I use TextPad to view and sort the logs. There is also the Resource Kit which provides a few good log tools.
I use the BRK (BlackBerry Resource Kit). The three utilities I use daily are Pending.EXE, MessageFlow.EXE, and HistoricalStats.EXE. I copy the logs from "\\server\c$\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Server\Logs" and analyze them offline on my local workstation.
