Hi all

Is it possible to hide or change my IP address on a Blackberry 8520 ?

Or is there a software program that can be downloaded to do this.

I need to do this as I have been banned from a sports forum and want to return.

Yea I also wish there is a way to hide or change my ip. I haven't been able to access many site from my phone becase of my ip. Too painfull. Pls if anybody have idea it will be good. Thank you all.

There is likely a reason why your IP has been banned, whether you agree with that reason or not.

Not sure why you would want to go back to a site that has sent a clear message that you aren't welcome.

I'm with NJblackberry,

they were giving the logical answer of why they may have been IP banned. and if I am someone that IP banned someone there would be a good reason for it. if I found someone come back then they would be IP banned again or another ban method

You mean you can't understand why a forum moderator would answer this question any other way?

For what it's worth, I've seen this question asked in the context of accessing a web site's content that is restricted to users in particular jurisdictions, for copyright restrictions, I presume. The answers are always that the BlackBerry user cannot change or hide the ip. Just what I've read, for what it's worth.

I just realized: my postings were answering the questions just as little! So I take it back...and the attitude too.
But despite the poor reason why fastfiat needs to hide his IP, I thought it would be interesting if it is generally possible. Changing IP could work like a proxy so the website or app assumes I'm in a different country, right? On my PC I have to use something like that to be able to use hulu or the bbc iplayer.
