I saw this in an email from Network World also. Very interesting.

Thanks for posting this. It really did make a difference in what I put on my phone in the future.
I actually have one of those memory boosters, and was about to ask if they really did make a difference with the phone.
Again, thanks for this post.

People actually get "flashlight" apps? Some people really must be just that gullible. By the way, gullible is not a real word, go look in the dictionary.

Interesting about certain items written. I sometimes thought that some posts were merely pandering to the vendors.

Default 8530 Help

I recently updated my 8530 and now I am unable to connect to the Mobile Network. I have called Sprint about this and they are recommending resetting my phone. Since I am traveling work work and my laptop is a few states away I am currently unable to back up all of my information (on hotel computer right now - lucky me). Any suggestion? It's telling me, in WI-FI Services Area, unable to connect. I have never, in the past 10 years, used WI-FI. I have always just used the Mobile Network. Any help would be great.

Huh?...Merriam-Webster.com:
Main Entry: gull·ible
Variant(s): also gull·able \xxx712;gxxx601;-lxxx601;-bxxx601;l\
Function: adjective
Date: 1818
: easily duped or cheated

xxx8212; gull·ibil·i·ty \xxx716;gxxx601;-lxxx601;-xxx712;bi-lxxx601;-txxx275;\ noun

xxx8212; gull·ibly \xxx712;gxxx601;-lxxx601;-blxxx275;\ adverb

I suppose this makes me gullible, eh?

It is very poor forum etiquette to post an unrelated item in another user's thread.

My 2 cents...

While I agree with the article, it could have been given a little more thought. I would imagine that there are legitimate (albeit, few) uses for streaming vid and flashlight apps (how do you press 'space' on a Storm, btw). I think the article would have been better if it focused on apps that most don't consider utilities, like themes, etc.

Ok, so I'm gullible. The $0.99 I spent for a flashlight that stays on was worth it, though. I never could get the flash to light beyond the default screen dim (1 min for me) until I got a flashlight ap. Resetting my screen timeout was annoying.

Going into day three with no power (wicked storm Sun afternoon in DC), I'm glad I spent that buck. Not a great flashlight, but handy. Especially when I need to put it down for five minutes.
