Default Cannot REPLY to messages

Please Login to Remove!

I am running an 8300 on a BES, I can send and recieve fine, also I can forward e-mails with no problems, but when I try to reply to a message I select 'Reply', type the reply and then press the 'wheel' and the only options I get are 'Paste' 'Save Draft' and 'Full Menu', if I go to full menu, I still do not get a send option, if I paste or save draft I still cannot send the messages? I think it must be an option somewhere on the phone but cannot find it anywhere?

Any ideas?

It could be something the folks who manage your BES need to set as well.

Are you not able to reply to your BES messages, or to messages you're receiving from your BIS account?

Open up that message and scroll to the very top. Where is says "Using", what does it say to the left of it?

This option is not here when replying to a message. It is only there when composing a new message. When you reply it automatically uses the account the message was received on.

No, it is there. It should be there with all the No reply issues I dealt with.

Hey Jsconyers,

I have a girlfriend who is having the problem of not having a "Send" option on Emails. I read your paragraph and im not gonna lie im very familiar with blackberry but the paragraph in the link you posted regarding calling the "Admin" for the BES, and BIS or whatever else is like a different language. Can you break this down for me in general terms. I personally need to read up on BIS and BES just to understand whats going on. Email to me is as simple as adding my AOL account and its on the phone haha I dont know what BES and BIS and all that is. Hopefuly you can break it down for me and I can help her. Thanks so much.

My PIN is 24266EBB, hit me on the messenger

Hey NAZology.

BES is Blackberry Enterprise Server. This is a server that companies use to connect devices to. They use this to sync email with Exchange/outlook, groupwise, or lotus domino. If your gf has work email coming to her BB then she is on a BES.

BIS is Blackberry Internet Service. This allows you to sync your Gmail, yahoo, etc. mail up with your blackberry. It is for personal email accounts.

I hope that clears things up for you.

The company I work for has several hundred BB users that I help support and have seen this error message many times. There's been a few times where deleting out the Desktop service books, resending them from the BES and then power cycling the device fixes it...but more times then not the ONLY way to fix this is to wipe the handheld and start over. :(
