Default On BES, but work email is mixing w/Hotmail...

Please Login to Remove!

My wife is on her BES now, and like me she has one work email account and one personal email account set up.

I'm on BIS...I see three email icons on my Pearl desktop - Messages, Work email, and Hotmail.

She's on BES, and sees two icons - Messages, and Hotmail. And...hotmail messages are showing up in the Messages view.

How can she get a separate view to just see her work email?

Thanks!

Everything goes into the Messages inbox. That's also the default for BES emails. Not much that can be done unless RIM changed their software to be able to differentiate that.

At this point she is out of luck. That's how it works.

So no way to also view just the work (BES) emails in a separate in-box?

There is at least one 3rd party program that I know of, not sure if it works for 4.3. Here's the thread: http://www.blackberryforums.com/afte...-messages.html

Thanks, Pdone! That looks perfect...I'll put it on her Pearl tonight and see how it goes.

BTW, what's a 8130e? I have a verizon Pearl as well, and wasn't aware of any "e" on the model number...

I believe it stands for EVDO. I believe Sprint is the same.

Thought of another workaround if the BES mailbox doesn't work for 4.3 yet. You could create a saved search and assign a shortcut to it. For example, I hide my sent messages by default. In order to access them more quickly, I created a search and assigned the shortcut alt+e. So anytime I want to look at my sent messages, I can access them with less button presses.

I think they've stopped adding letters to devices, since it got a little confusing.

Well, I found out the hard way that it doesn't work on the 4.3 OS yet, so not happening on my wife's Pearl.

Pretty annoying, spent quite a while trying uninstall/reinstall, checking permissions, etc., and when I searched here found a post that it doesn't work and Empower knows.

Not even a note on their web site to save customers the time/aggravation wasted.

So now I'm waiting for them to update it...

Bummer Danabw. Hopefully they will update it soon so that it works on the 4.3 OS.

They are already on the 4.3 OS??? Been a while since I last time was near a BB.

The new Pearls are on it, as well (I think) as Curves....
