I suppose you could store the zip files on the media card however, the files will not be able to be read or used on the BB. You would have to extract the contents of the zip file on your computer.

Your phone can "accept" zip files but you need an app to extract them. Ziplorer is what I use.

Zips unzips..

Yea FileScout has a real easy UI and it's free. Plus you can do a lot more then just zip files with it.
