Not sure.

When you navigate to the mobile youtubepage, bring up the menu, selection options, then select browser configuration. At the top, what browser does it show? Make sure it is internet browser if you are on the wireless network.

Also make sure everything is checked. And set to show images ob WML and HTML. Not sure is emulation makes a difference, but set to blackberry if it is something else, and see if that makes a difference.

it helped!!! checked everything in the browser settings and now after a few kinks ie- music player volume not adjusting between tracks and youtube videos not playing everything worked itself out.It took a day or 2 but now my phone is fully operational

So it just started working again? You're not sure exactly what was wrong?

no i have no idea?!?! i changed a few settings in my browser configuration- turned on java ,browser tables etc just to c what would happen and all of a sudden my youtube videos stopped working and my volume wouldnt adjust between tracks on my music player. After a day or so i turned my phone on tried my music player and it worked ,played a video on my youtube and perfect.

i checked all the boxes like u suggested and after a day everything was fine.Is this unusual?!?!not sure what was going on

Did you pull the battery somewhere along the way? If so, the hard reset is probably what fixed things for you.

I too have this problem ( I have 8220 Flip ) and could never play youtube from the phone...(can't play them on home computer-still on dial-up till I move... so always pixel-ated) The sales person at the T-mobile store showed me the www dot vtap dot com for blackberry But not 1/2 of the vid's from you tube... I went to all the default stuff in configurations (options-browser) and I'll see what tomorrow brings, from whay I've read here... BTW Default does not check the Javascript box or Javascript popups so I checked those manually!!! today 7/5/09 I just bought this phone a few weeks ago
the flat buttons and most all else is great, still fine-tuning!

Thanks in advance for any more info!

P.S. additional ?? where is this 'emulation' spot you folks are talking about? I looked all over and don't see anything with that word in my 8220 flip? Let me know?

Open your browser, use menu key for Options, General Options, scroll down to Emulation Mode.

I had the same problem, wasn't getting it in BB emulation mode. Switched over to Microsoft IE and now YouTube works. Question is, where or when will I need BB emulation mode?
