Why would you delete the LBS.alx file? The instructions never say anything about deleting it, only editing it.

I installed thos OS last night and it works good except one thing... now my Gmail app won't stay logged in. I have to log in every time if I want to check my Gmail and when I exit the app, I get this:

"Uncaught exception: java.lang.NullPointerException"

I haven't change any settings on my device. What do you think happened? I tried deleting and reinstalling the Gmail app, but it still does it.

FYI... I have the 8310 on AT&T if that's of any help.

so is the camera and text input issue happening to everyone that's loaded this OS on their 8310's ? i'm using TIMs 4.2.2.194 right now and everything works as it should.
only cool features i see is voice and video recorders.....but i fear this OS might make my 8310 slower ?
any feedback on this ?

I have not experienced the issues. I have just spent 16 of the last 24 hours in the car, so I can tell you I have field tested the OS, without issues.

Ok. The calendar issue sucks. When I first installed the Beta. I could sync all of my calendar. But after some fiddling, the only one that will sync now, is the secondary. The BB's addy will not..
This kinda sucks. I dont want to go back, I would however like to find a solution.
The post earlier, will describe the initial problem.
So far, Ive done the wipe and install, and the reset to factory to get rid of an IT policy that snuck in when I wasnt looking. It was JC's so I wasnt too worried.
This kinda gives me the creeps.

Heres an update: After using JL's reset to factory. And a selective restore of specific items, eg: messages, profile options, the addy book, and a resync. I can NOW SYNC CORRECTLY.. This site ROCKS for the simplicity of help..Cheers!!!!

I deleted that file file just cause others in this thread said they were doing it and I'm desparate for any memeroy I can free. Do you think is what caused the problem?
Also... I'm still having the original bugs that came with the beta, is there anyway to install the .42 browser with the .37 os?

I tried upgrading to this and got the 507 error. Now I want to restore back so I can try it again. Anybody know how to do that? I have the file but can't find where to tell desktop manager that I want to restore it. When I try to do anything else it changes from the 507 to a 561 error and won't let me connect. When I try to upgrade it a second time I still get the original error which causes the 507. That error is listed below.

A fatal error has occurred while updating your device's software. Please try again.

Unspecified error encountered [J:0x00000005]

Donbp, use JL_cmder to wipe and install, using the instructions for JL_cmder in the faq.

I've had to do the same thing, and it should do the job for you.

Thanks, I'll give that a shot.

That worked. Thanks. Tried it a few more times and I still can't get it to install on my ATT 8310. Wouldn't be surprised if Vista didn't have something to do with it.

Thanks, I did do a back up and will give it a try when I get back to the office.

Default Loving 4.5

Last night took the plunge. Everything works great even google maps. I did have to do a battery pull for google maps to work. Only infospace will not work now but really haven't tried to hard to figure that out. Email was quicker without pics but wasn't what I was expecting. Video camera and camera work great.

Yes, it does. Copy all of your information from the card to the desktop. Format the card in the Berry, and drag the contents back to the card. And you should have your entire volume of space to fool around with.
