Default Blackberry Messenger 5.0

Please Login to Remove!

If you recently downloaded the beta version of BBM 5.0 before you post about having problems please re-register your BB and anyone you will be speaking with. Not sure if it has anything to do with the recent outage of the beta of the BBM.

Prior to this clear out any BBM Conversations.

Go to Options, Advanced Options, Host Routing Table, click the Menu Key and Register now. This will re-register your BB with the network and hopefully solve the problem.

I really have a feeling this might have to do with the Outage the other day. Prior to the Outage everything was working ok.

So this doesn't work with the 4.5.77 OS (Curve 8330)?

What makes you say this? BBM 5.0 should work fine on the 8330.

I had big problems with using this with with an 8330. I was first using .160 OS, then downgraded to .131.

The thing that really ticked me off was I suddenly got a screen saying BBM was changing to one of my other email accounts (not my main account) and the screen stuck there and I couldn't use BBM at all. I clicked cancel and it wiped out all of my contacts (fortunately I had a backup).

I downgraded BBM back to what comes with 4.5.0.131.

Because I installed it on the BB 8330 and the icon doesn't show up on my screen. I re-registered the host routing table and nothing. I'm thinking that I need to update the OS version.

I haven't experienced any issues with it thus far.

@darknightz, have you tried changing themes to see if you can locate it? If you go into Options > Advanced Options > Applications, do you see BBM 5.0 listed?

I saw application installed on DM but couldn't find it on the Blackberry.

I believe on you will need OS 4.5.0.131 or great on the Curve, for this BBM 5.0 to work.
