Default Contacts Restore Problem from BB Desktop Software

Please Login to Remove!

I cannot get the contacts backed up using BB Desktop Software to restore to my BB Bold. I restored the contacts in March 2011 when I had a Tour. Phone got wet, now I have a Bold. Contacts ("Addresses") are dimmed and "read only" according to Desktop. Other data restores fine. But I need the contacts.

I already deactivated Wireless Reconcile in Email Reconciliation under message Options. IT support can't figure this out.

If you help me, on your death bed you will achieve...total..consciousness. So you will have that going for you. Which is nice. If you can't help, at least name that movie line.

Caddyshack. Bill Murray. Have you tried wiping and restoring your OS?

If you tried to restore to a different BB, security kicks in. Do a device swap if the old unit is working at all. then it will move the contacts and other data to the new BB.

DM has the option.

Otherwise "The Good, Bad and Ugly"

The old BB won't power up at all. Am I totally hosed? Wiping the OS - what is the "OS"? Operating System? Thanks for the input.
