Default Wifi abroad

Please Login to Remove!

Ok so I'm from the UK, on holidays in the US and am looking to use BBM on a BlackBerry 9300. When I connect to the wifi, I can only access the Internet browser and not BBM. To correct this I decided to turn Data Services to ON while roaming, while still connected to wifi and I can now use BBM. My question is since I am still connected to wifi, does it still get priority over the 3G now that the data services are on? Basically am I still using the BBM for free as a result of the wifi?

If WiFi is connected, data should go that way unless you have an app that forces it to go via the cell network.

So if that is the case then there are no charges incurred?

Shouldn't be. You should check with your carrier to be sure however.
