Default 2.5 to 3.5 adapter

Please Login to Remove!

I went to radio shack last night and bought an 2.5 to 3.5 stereo adapter so I could use my 8820 in my car(I have an input jack to my car's system). Whether in headset mode or speakerphone mode nothing comes through car speakers except for some clicking. I took the adapter back and the Radio Shack dude said, "Oh, you need a different one. Here, try this one." Same thing happens. Does anyone have a specific brand and model that they know works for this application?

I picked up mine at Verizon.......... Has volume control etc built in. ~$25. That way you can pick it up locally instead of ordering one.

Does the adapter have to be BB brand... I ordered a cheep one off eBay and it did not work, then I bought a Motorola brand and it does not function either.

I bought an Ebay cheapie too and I get a high pitch sound out of the right channel. Seems that it has to OEM RIM. Any other brands out there that work well?
Thanks,
Jamie
