Have you guys noticed that 4.5.x is WAY slower syncing than 4.3.x?

When I was using 4.3, I would be done syncing in less tha 2 minutes, if that.

Now with 4.5, it takes over 6-8 minutes.

What seems to be the bottle neck is my Calendar, it has to read all 4250 calendar entries each time.

Am I the only one noticing this? Is this typical?

EDIT: Sorry, forgot to mention, that I am using Vista and Office 2007.

4.5 seems to be new? when did it come out? I'm used to using 4.3 and it is way better than old versions. I'm hoping that 4.5 would be better but you said it was slower than 4.3? I wonder what is going on. I know 4.3 always synced to the best given that the computer had the right components and features.

I didn't have the wireless calendar sync option in 4.5 either so I am using 4.3

Either via USB or BT (but i mainly use USB) 4.5 is WAY slower for syncing than 4.3. I dont know when 4.5 came out, but I got it from the Blackberry Website, so its released.

I got 8300 from AT&T and RIM website does not show 4.5 when I click via AT&T. I guess it might be a compatibility issue, RIM Phone OS compatibility with Desktop Version.
What version is your BB OS?

Running 4.5 DTM and 4.5.0.52 and have not had any problems.

The media software is where it usually lags for me. 4.5 so far is pretty decent.

I highly doubt this is the case. Possible but very unlikely.

yes the new desktop manager is SLOW in my experiences...seems like it wants to load everything 3 times...instead of being done syncing in 5 minutes it seems like it takes 15....maybe not that extreme but not far off...
