I updated my Sprint Tour and it works great. Just make sure you do a profile update after the install to get back any Sprint specific icons (TV, NFL Network, etc)

Options -> Mobile Network
BB Button -> Update Profile

I was able to download and update to .484 off the Sprint website with no problem. However, I have tried to download .591 several times and I can't get it to load.

I am following the directions step by step, but every time I run the loader it only asks me to update apps. The program never starts the update. Does anyone have any advice or help? Thanks.

Did anyone lose their MMS messages in their inbox when doing the update? I completed the update over night and saw that the SMS messages changed, but could not locate any of my MMS messages that were there before the update. So far, that seems to be my only gripe.

What OS are you running on your PC, Vista, or 7?

XP Professional. As I said, .484 downloaded without any problems, but .591 won't begin. I'm not sure if this is important, but when it asked me to enter my Verizon number, I entered my brother's Verizon number since I have Sprint.

No that should not have anything to do with it. Make sure after you delete the file you empty the trash. And also do a search and make sure there isn't one around somewhere.

I'm going to try over again from scratch. Should I delete the RIM folder in common files and download again?

Default Personal and work email can now be separated

Nice feature with this release - personal email can be separated from work email (in my case on a BES). With OS 4.7 an icon was for Messages, which had work and personal email combined, and an icon was for my personal email. The Messages icon is still present, as well as the icon for personal email. What's new is an icon called Desktop, for work email. So I hid the Messages icon, and now have my work and personal email separated. Yea!

Is there a list of what's changed from 4.7?

Unhappy Updated my Tour, Now... have an issue with Rod Stewart!

Okay.... some of you may already be aware that since updating the Blackberry Tour some of us are being possessed by Rod Stewart. My phone is constantly playing Rod Stewart songs. I need help... the only thing that I can think is that it's bugged. I don't even have this song on my phone. My sister had sent me an MMS file for Easter, it had this song attached... now this song plays all the time.

It plays when I hang up a call.
It plays when I get a text message.
It plays basically all the time, for no reason.

Help!

Anyone know what is going on?
I read somewhere that it could be a "bug" perhaps, others are having similar songs play for no reason?

yea all my media text (pics ect...) have been deleted.

MY PROBLEM WITH THE UPDATE

I frequent video sites (break.com and others). I went to these sites before the update, i could click the vid and the option to save would appear. i could click for it to save, it would start the download, and i could still surf during the download. I could even download multiple vids at once on a [non hosted] page.
Now when i click vids it just pulls up the media player and shows it loading the vid. i have no save option. if i want to watch the vid i have to wait for the entire download with a blank screen only showing the words loading acrosed it.

Also... when i loaded the update i have a new text program. i love it and it works good except i keep getting complaints that im sending multiple text messages.

this is my third post on these forums with absolutely no response...

It doesn't help to double post.

And, in fact, you have had some response.

This seems more stable, faster and less glitchy than even the beta version of 591. Overall very satisfied. But the browser clicking still isn't perfect. Surprisingly they would release code with such a glaring flaw...

One word describes this.

Placebo.

There is NO difference between this .591 and any other .591. It's the same as the beta.

Yeah the clicking on web pages is hit or miss usually miss. Also my media player died yesterday and wouldn't play anything. Which wasn't to big of a deal until this am when my alarm didn't go off cause it plays songs from the media player. Luckily a battery pull fixed it. Other than that 5.0 release going good. Oh and sometimes the left convienent key does not always open my media folder.
