Default Outlook/BES/Exchange not fully syncing.

Please Login to Remove!

I did a Install of BES last night, activated my blackberry with it successfully and it is syncing.

When i add items into outlook, they instantly show up on the blackberry, whether it be calendar/contacts/tasks etc.

When i add new items, change or deleteold items on the blackberry, they do not show up in outlook.

I know this is a permission issue that i had before, and i found the results on here somewhere, but for somereason a google search didnt help me today of the forums here.

Any help would be great!
thanks

Make sure Exchange server and Exchange MGMT tool installed on BES are on the same level. Search for cdo.dll,mapi32.dll...compare them and make them the same.
Then try.

Did you find the article? I have the same issue... when doing the upgrade i logged in as myself and not BESADMIN. soo i took a look at the services and all Blackberry services logon are under my username..... soo I tried right clicking and properties and changing it to BESADMIN. When doing so and restarting services i was NOT able to send email from the blackberry. Is there something else i am missing????

Change admin account ... yes that is linked to an article for BES 3.6, but the principles are the same.

We run into this problem when the BesAdmin account has not been granted 'Send As' permission for new users.

Have you checked the user's security tab to make sure that your users have the BesAdmin user added and that it has the proper rights?

Only email and calendar are affected by permissions. Contacts/Memos/Tasks do not require any special permissions.

For Calendar make sure that BESAdmin has the correct permissions down to the mailbox and public folder store levels in the Exchange Management Tools. Also, BESAdmin cannot be in any admin groups, unless the BES is on a DC. Then the account belongs in built-in admins only.

Also, there is a switch administration account doc for 4.0 and 4.1:

BlackBerry Search Results

The one calendar doc is here:

BlackBerry Search Results

If reconcilation is not working on your BB check the reoncilaition options on the device, Messages>Options>Email Reconciliation. It should show:

Delete On: Mailbox and handheld
Wireless Reconcile: On

Check the Wireless Sync option as well for any other PIM item that isn't working.

Is this affecting all items or just reconciliation and calendar?

Just had a similar problem with one of our offices. Used the Blackberry doc below to verify permissions were correct, which they weren't, and working ok now.
Title:
One-way wireless calendar synchronization for one or more BlackBerry device users
Doc ID: KB05270
