hi guys,
i jus got a bb curve 8310 .
i cant seem to find how to use te shortcuts on my phone , i have tried toggling the yes/no option for home screen dialing, tries alt + enter key but all it does it change / display languages, i have tried long pressing * and # keys for locking keypad and putting it on silent..

absolutely nuthing seems to work..

please help.

Have you checked out th RIM FAQs? There is alot of information to be found here, just look and see

I agree with greggebhardt. BB FAQ has a wealth of info there.

For starters, try pulling the battery. It seems to solve most problems.

For Homescreen shortcuts, make sure home screen dialing is set to NO. There's nothing fancy to do.

none of that worked, but i tried resetting the phone by taking out teh battery and then .. bingo...



but ya i need to ask 2 more things,



1> how to set numbers as default for a contact , as u knw how we have 2-3 numbers for same contact like mobile, work and home, how du i select mobile and keep the numebr as default as everytime i dial the contact, it doesnt ask what number....



2> how to record for voice dialing as the ones by default doesnt seem to work for me... is there a way to attach voice clips for selected few contacts i use regularly.
