This guy will lead the nations economic recovery but he can't even file his own taxes correctly?

How can we expect this dude to track billions and billions of dollars when he can't even manage a whole dollar twelve ($1.12).....

WOW, simply WOW...

Wait for your taxes to increase, they will, "change" isn't free.

Taxes will have to go up to institute all of Obamas plans there is no way around it. The State of Georgia has already tried giving insurance to children it was broke with in 4 years.

It all depends on how close a connection he has with organized crime.

I think the real problem is that there is not one person or one organization that really understands the problems, the issues or how to fix them. All 535 idiots in the Congress seem to each have a plan. The White House has a different plan, as do the banks, mortgage companies, auto industry, etc.

I just hope that someone or some organization can come up with something that will help and not leave us so deep in debt that we can't come out anyway.

Thats right, no one has the answer. Everyone wants their idea enacted and hope that something works.

This is where you know our government has to take their head out of their as$es. Its the dems saying nothing is wrong with this "simple mistake" but if it was a republican could you imagine outrage or this happening to someone under bush. I hate this new administration.

I don't really know how you "forget" to pay over $35,000 in taxes. A mistake is a few hundred, maybe a few thousand. But 35,000? I'm sure he knew what he was doing. He probably didn't know he'd be in this position back when he did that. I bet if that were you or I our a$$ would be in jail for tax evasion or fraud.

So here we have the US Treasury Secretary as either 1) a criminal or 2) an incompetent fool.

So which is it?

I think in normal times this would have killed his appointment, these are not normal times however.

as for prosecution, i'm no tax lawyer to say if there would be criminal prosecution. not everyone gets prosecuted I think it has to do with proof of intent.

Since these are not normal times it should have shot down his appointment quicker. If Obama is this stand up guy that everyone thinks he is why didn't he shut the appointment down. No he just lets another crook into the US Government. But they would be calling for Bush's head on a platter had he appointed someone like this why is this different. What make putting a crook or liar in to the position accomplish?

To me it just tells our children that its OK to lie and steal from the federal government and you can still hold a government job.
