Default PDF Image Files

Please Login to Remove!

Im not sure if there is a solution to this or if it is a simple setting issue but I have a Storm thats on a BEZ and carried by Verizon that cannot view image PDF files, even small ones.

I can view Tiffs, PDF's created with adobe and most everything else but when documents are scanned on our local work Xerox and sent they only display as ---page 2 of 3 --- ---page 3 of 3--- and so on. These same documents sent to BB's on other carriers such as T-mobile do not seem to have this issue.

I have installed Repligo(sp) and they are still not able to be viewed.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I'd try contacting Verizon tech support, because I was able to email myself a PDF with an image (16inx22in) and view it fine.

Humm, are you on a BEZ or just the main verizon netowrk?

I did contact the support initially and the individual I got to said that there were problems with the Storm and image PDF's, though they were usually only with large image PDF's. The suggestion he had was to install the Meta-message or Repligo and see if that helped.

Im beginineg to think that there is a setting or issue with the BEZ server we have as when I tested this with older BB's and recieved the same result, so it is not limited to the Storm.

I'm betting that your BES admin blocks attachments.

You'd lose money... if you read the first post again, OP is indicating other attachments work fine.

I use PDF to Go which is included in the upgrade of Documents to Go which comes on your Storm. It handles PDF's perfectly including images and graphics. It does this locally on the BB as opposed to other programs which send the PDF out to a remote server (serious security problem). The upgrade is a little pricey, but it is well worth the money. 73
