I am just curious what Bluetooth people have found to work best with the new Storm. I had a Plantronics Bluetooth that worked great with a Razr that I had for awhile, but it worked terrible with the BB Pearl, so I purchased a Motorola H700. I have a hard time keeping that one on my ear, so I just purchased the new Jawbone. People on the other end like it, and the noise reduction seems to work good, but it sounds a little "tinny" on my end. I am just curious what headsets have worked well for others? I am trying to decide if I will keep the Jawbone- especially for the price.

take a look at the BlueAnt Z9i, i had the jawbone but returned it do to it always falling out. The Z9i has 2 earbuds, small and larger depending on your ear. Makes for a more comfortable fit. super clear sound and noise canceling,

just take a look at it, you will not be disapointed. I got mine on eBay brand new for about 70 bucks.

I sell these all day long. It's between the new Jawbone and the Plantronics Discovery 925. I'll get customers that love the Jawbone but hate the Discovery, or love the Discovery and love the Jawbone. It's either or.

I am a Jawbone fan. I added Jabra ear buds so it stays in my ear better.

Thanks for the info- I had the Discovery, But that one did not work well with my Pearl. The guy at the Verizon store said sometimes Bluetooth headsets work better with certain phones, and the he thought the Motorola was the best, so that is when I bought that one. I liked how it sounded, it jut did not fit well.

I like how small the new Jawbones are, and that fits my ear good and is comfortable, unlike the older model which is so BIG! That one was not comfortable. However I just think it sounds so "Tinny" on my end. Is that normal?

Personally, I have been very impressed with the performance of the Jawbone, but less than excited about the tactile interface. I haven't tried the BlueAnt, but I have had several of the Motorola devices. None of them compare to the sound quality and noise reduction of the Jawbone.

I have a Jabra BT530. This unit has active noise canceling (using 2 microphones) which is an absolute necessity. One mic gets just the background noise, while the other gets the noise plus your speech. The two signals are subtracted leaving just te speech. It is the same principle used in the very expensive Bose noise canceling headsets that have become popular with airline travelers.

The BT530 is very light and comfortable to wear. I have it in for hours at a time and frequently forget it is there. If you wear eyeglasses, I suggest that you put the Jabra on first then the glasses. This locks the earhook in place and keeps the headset where it should be.

It also has an automatic noise-limiting feature which keeps you from having your ears blasted. It is the best Bluetooth I have tried and I have tried quite a few.

I also recommend the Motorola Bluetooth Speakerphone. Ithas great quality and can come up on the FM radio. It is far superior to the internal speakerphone on the Storm. 73

For all those who use the Jawbone, do you have issues with it being crackly and tinny sounding? I am wondering if mine might be defective.

I tried the Jawbone but it was defective. Dropped calls to the handset all the time.

I now have the Blue Ant V1, and I have to say, the voice commands are awesome. So far, everyone says they hear me very clearly.

UPDATE: I am taking it back. Everyone says I sound as though I am in a box. Enough "I can't hear you" conversations! Too bad. Very cool technology.

Actually the sound was fairly good. However I hate the button action! You have to push very hard to activate it. Maybe the newer Jawbones fixed this.

I agree I have both the BlueAnt V1 and the JawBone 2 and I would definitely suggest the BlueAnt

I have a first gen Jawbone (circa 2007), and this thing rocks.

I could be talking to someone from inside our data center with about 150 very loud servers, and the noise cancellation is so good that the person on the other side couldn't even tell.

They have the much smaller gen II Jawbone that's supposedly even more advanced, but mine works fine so I'm not going to fix what ain't broken

I tried a similar experiment with my Gen I Jawbone and my car stereo. Even with the stereo loud enough that I had a hard time hearing on my end of the call, the person on the other end of the call could hear me perfectly.

Wind noise is another matter. Wind seems to negatively effect the Jawbone as much, if not more, than any other headset I've had.

Here is my new struggle with the Jawbone... Placement. I brought mine back, because they told me there must be something wrong with it if the sound quality is that bad. They were right, the sound quality is a lot better on the new one. However, if the white piece on the bottom of the headset is not touch your face, it does not work very well. So now people are saying that I fade in and out. Could this be a function of the piece not placed properly on my face? I am not sure how else I could wear it, to make this any better. Thoughts?

The Jawbone depends on vibrations to send the sound. The small, white "button" must be against your ... wait for it ... yes ... jawbone. If it isn't, it won't work as designed.
