Default admin groups

Please Login to Remove!

Need to know if more than one active directory group can be delegated as admins in the server configuration. We have about 30 groups that need to be Admins

Default user groups

Would like to see all admin groups separated by semicolon to have the ability to have granular permissions assigned.

Default self service

Would like to be able to add active directory groups and adjust roles on those groups.

That may not be a big deal to add...

Probably for .59.

This will be/is fixed for .59...

That would take quite a bit of coding, but is a good idea....can't say when that'd be ready!

Post Answer: Enable Redirection button does not appear...

ppl,

I got this answer from QC and thought it would be worth posting. I found the button did not appear on my environments. As far as I know this is an issue in .57 & .58. QC is aware and has fixed this for the next release.

Thanks QC!

Jeremy.

In lite.asp find the following line (around line 467):

ElseIf Request.QueryString("action") = "disableredirection" Then

Add

Call EndTable

Right above it, but after <%

cscript %SYSTEMDRIVE%\inetpub\adminscripts\adsutil.vbs SET W3SVC/AppPools/Enable32bitAppOnWin64 1

Which runs IIS in 32bit mode and Bingo Bango we are golden now. So I guess for those members out there wanting to migrate to a 64bit platform you will need to run this script in order to run IIS in 32bit mode and have the page work. Unless you want to reconfigure the DSN-Less connection to a driver that is compatiable with the 64bit OS.
Let me know if you have questions.
Thanks all

Also when I go to find a user to say reset their EA password, it queries every ID on the BES server which is 700+ so it just sits.... and waits... then gives me a warning that the script is taking a long time do you want to stop running it. Is there anyway to make it so every time you hit add user it doesnt query right off that bat?

Wait - you reset an EA password and it queries all your users? Or do you click on 'Find user' and it queries all users? If you are talking about finding users, you can disable the page from showing all users upon load by going into the administrative options and disabling 'show all users at startup'.

Great -

FYI everyone, .59 should be out sometime soon...I've reworked the authentication piece (again) so that it should allow for nested groups for authentication.

Also, I've had a request for adding a license/legal information to the code, so that might be in .59 or .60.

Angry small issue with berrystats and maybe IIS

I have it installed now on a 64bit OS running IIS in 32bit and the only issue I can find is that when I go to click on export like I'm going to save the report to an excel file. The link will popup and save the file export.asp. On the version that is running on my 32bit OS it saves it as an xls. If I go and save the report and then open it with Excel the data in the report is there its just saving it as that export.asp and not the output.xls like it should. All the pages and website are the same from the 32bit OS to the 64bit OS. I have no ideal what could be causing this issue. I have even re-installed it on a new clean machine and it does the same thing. Has anyone ran into this issue???

Preview of .59 -

Main page (administrator view):

Now using FusionCharts free instead of AMCharts

add user page:

Note the email preview.

You can control if a helpdesk has the ability to set manual passwords for activation or only random.

User search on the add user page has been enhanced. I will modify the query page (find users) to match this new format.

Roles:

You can now hide activation passwords on the user detail page (lite.asp).

Authentication:

BerryStats will now allow logons from members of nested groups. I wouldn't recommend adding 'domain users' to any of your groups though - try creating specialized groups first.

Looks great!

Suggestion for future releases: I know folks have mentioned logging, but it would be excellent if logging was written directly to the Windows "Application" log.

Thanks for your work on this.

This may have been dealt with but my searching didn't find anything. The server names for our exchange server are 13 characters. the View supplied with Berrystats only shows the firs 11 characters. Where can in the view can I change it to show the complete exchange server name?
Thank you,

Probably has something to do with the following line (I apologize, I did not come up with the current incarnation of the view):

Code:
PATINDEX('%Servers/cn=%',
                      dbo.UserConfig.ServerDN) + 11, PATINDEX('%/cn=Microsoft%', dbo.UserConfig.ServerDN) - (PATINDEX('%Servers/cn=%', dbo.UserConfig.ServerDN)
                      + 11)) AS MailServer,
Just guessing here, but try maybe changing the '11' values to '13'?

Thanks qc, I had thought so as well but those numbers didn't do it. It turned out to be the varchar number of 100 in the line before the one you posted. I changed it to 103 and it worked.
