Default One way sync on Calendar

Please Login to Remove!

Good afternoon,
I have a BES 4.1.6, with Exchange 2003 and a user with an 8830 blackberry. The BB is activated and email working. However when the user adds an event to the calendar outlook 2003 it populates just fine with the BB, when the user adds an event to the BB it does not populate the other way around. I had recently built a new BES as we were running on the trial version. So I just recently wiped out the BB and reactivated it. Any advice, I searched but did not find anything that helpped.

Thanks,
Sherrera

I have had this same issue as most of my company has old 7250's and now we have some executives wanting newer BB's se we have some running the 8830. I was able to fix this issue by whiping the BB and redoing the activation. I also had the same issue and it was resolved by resending the service book. Try to resending the service book if that does not resolve it then I would wipe the Blackberyr from the bes option and then redo enterprise activation.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
Which Service book should I resend? And should I delete it from the handheld first or just resend from the BES?

Thank,
Sherrera

login your BES, click on the user, go down to the drop down menus click It admin, click resend service book.

you will get a message that says the service book has been resent then click OK.

Great thanks for the advise, I just resent the Service books and I'll check with the user to see if it worked.

Thanks Again,
Sherrera

Sorry I just realized that I never got back to this post. The resending of the Service book did in fact work, and did so without having to delete the service book from the 8830.

This issue is caused by either permissions or CDO.dll mismatch between BES and Exchange.

Look at this KB from RIM:

Everything you need to resolve this issue is in that KB.

Let us know how it goes.

Glad to hear that you got it working. I posted a thread on this issue on
port 3101 dot org(remove the spaces and replace dot with a '.'), under the BES Admin section. This is a very common issue and can usually be easily fixed with a little searching

Remember to check BlackBerry Technical Solution Center for any issue you encounter, there is a good chance that there is a KB for it.
