I've got an 8900 and I've got a red/blue/yellow/green colored envelope icon at the top showing one message - the problem is that I can't find what the heck it is! Baffling!

Thanks folks! Well I finally put two and two together-- I recently installed the eBay for BB app and it was the messages from eBay!!! Happy 2010 !

How do you clear this icon? I opened all my eBay messages and the icon still shows that a message is outstanding.

Question - I have the multicolored envelope icon, I went to my eBay app, and for the life of me, I cannot find where to view messages. Help? The icon has been there for quite some time already, and it's very annoying.

Did you look in the eBay applications for the messages?
Did you do a battery pull with the device turned on?

Ok, complete novice here. What is a battery pull? I've checked my messages on the eBay app but there are no notifications there so it must be the battery pull thing for me. Can someone talk me through it please.

With your device on, pull the battery out of the phone. Wait 30 seconds and insert the battery back into the phone.
