Welcome to the forums deepakbansal! Customarily members search for items that may have been posted in the past. MSN does not have an app specifically developed for the BB.

There are many 3rd party apps for instant messenging. I searched for you and came across many threads; start off with this one:

Again welcome and best of luck!

I don't use MSN, but I have heard of several members using the following:

mig33 - mobile chat

Beware.....if you don't have sms in your blackberry plan.....you will be charged for using mig33 and the oz messengers! I've found yak-on to handle msn through data which will not charge you. There are other programs too, but i have yak-on and it's pretty good.

I think the mig33 does use data. I have used it a few times and have not seen any SMS charges.

wow! COMPLETELY wrong!

as to the 2 people who wrote prior to my post, you are 100% correct. mig33 DOES USE DATA.

disregard the concern for SMS charges

Bull! I just got my T-mobile bill after using mig33 and I was charged. More than enough proof that it was using sms.

T-Mobile 8100 comes with IM software that allows you to use AOL, Yahoo, ICQ, and MSN.

Yeah, but if you don't have an sms plan, you will be charged. I'm looking at yak-on and testing it to see if I'm using data or sms. T-mobile gave me some free sms texting since I was billed using mig33 even though folks here are saying it's all data......but I was charged. Maybe it is data, but why am I getting a bill for sms. that's what I need to figure out.

As I understand it, Mig33 has a data mode and the SMS mode (required for making cheap phone calls). I have not activated my SMS mode and not even entered my activation code. I just say "Remind me later" when asked and log into messenger after that.

No SMS charges.

thats really wierd. i know many people using that program and not one of them is being charged sms. i wonder if maybe its just some way that tmobile is picking up the messages that you're sending and billing you for them.

it just seems odd because when you turn mig33 on it connects through the mig33 server and sends data both ways for incoming/outgoing messages to contacts. so all should be seen as data. perhaps you've enabled some other feature in mig33 that is causing this?

there are other threads on mig33 and i havent read of anyone being charged for sms there either!?

im not gonna deny that its possible, but i can confirm that for me and all others i know using it (we're using it on Rogers in canada) we're definitely not being charged.

one last thing i want to throw out there, are you using mig33 for yahoo or msn? im only using it for msn and if you're using it for yahoo i wonder if the message transmission is any different. and maybe tmobile is billing you based on that. if not, then i really cant explain it...
