Default I'm not really an admin...calendar synch issue

Please Login to Remove!

but I am responsible for the bb software. We have BES installed on an exchange server. For some reason the calendars are not pushing from the device to outlook, but the outlook pushes just fine. Email and everything else is working fine.

I have tried the RSET option form the calendar options
I have tried the turn the wireless synch off then back on after a while
I have tried a battery pull after doing all of this

If you have BES installed on the Exchange server, then that could be the beginning of your problems.
BES should not be installed on the same server as Exchange.

Please describe your BES environment with more detail.
Exact version of BES, Service Pack level, etc...

What about your domain controllers? Do you have any that aren't global catalogs? Your environment sounds small enough that it might not be this issue, but I had the exact same problem and it was a domain controller that did not have a GC. I also was unable to resolve the BESadmin name in the MAPI profile in my case.

keep in mind though, all DCs don't need to be GCs ... with SBS, typically there is only the single domain controller (bad idea) and it itself must be a GC.

I don't get it myself, but in my case after the one AD server was no longer a GC, and the BES logs showed it going to a valid GC server I still had problems. We put the GC back on the one server and 15 minutes later my BES was working as well as another system with a different function.

Something smells like a bug, maybe it is the calendar fix in MR6, though they say performance issues.

If these problems were due to the domain controller issue, would they affect email and tasks as well? the only problem I am having is pushing the calendar from the device to outlook. I don't want to pay the $275 for the service call.

GC problems would cause problems with other functions.

If you're just having calendaring issues check out One way Calendar Tips/Fixes

I called a buddy of mine and he took care of it. His words below:

It had everything to do with the service account being the Administrator account. By switching to a non domain-admin service account it remedied the problem.
