Question Battery on BOLD?

Please Login to Remove!

Hello

Ok I have a question to ask everyone on average how long does your bat last you in a day?

I turn my on around 9am and by the end which is around 10:00pm
I have gone to about 50% bat life and need to charge again because if I wait for the next day the bat dies around 3pm.

I have it running on EDGE and not 3G don't surf that much and display bright to the lowest and the bat still lose juice quite fast.

Anyone have this problem?
Thank you

Make sure wifi is turned off (not just disconnected), and turn of GPS if you won't to extend it further. Also make sure you are using the latest firmware.

The battery is my only complaint with the 9000. I've tried everything, turn wifi off, set to 2g and turned off bluetooth and it never lasts a full day. I'm beginning to think I have a bad battery. My firmware is 4.6.0.125, do you think my battery life will improve if I go with a later version?

Yea somethings not right there. I use mine on 3g all day with a fair bit of surfing, ~50 messages, a couple calls and its still 50% when I get home at night. It's definitely much shorter life then my curve but I've never had a problem getting through the day.

I'm hoping a new firmware version will further extend the life.

I loaded up .150 yesterday and I'm glad I did. Battery is lasting way longer! Just wish Rogers would release the updates quicker so you don't have to hunt them down.

The sticky was just updated today and it's still older than the version I "hunted down" yesterday.

My battery life is alright i reckon, for what it's doing - Switching between GSM/GPRS/EDGE/3G, playing music via bluetooth, receiving 20 emails a day, send SMS messages for half the day and a little session on the Wi-Fi when my internet at home decides to go on strike and so far mine's lasted 2.5 days...

For what it's doing, i'm not complaining - especially since i got a genuine Blackberry Bold dock on order so battery life won't even come into it as that's where it will spend most of it's time when its not in use
