Yes, selecting a device based solely on hype is a mistake. However, it doesn't mean that a hyped device isn't suited for certain people.

The entire article if you read closely it is based on facts that do prove the BB is more capable that the iPhone with Transfer rates. It doesn't state that because of that, it's a more suitable device. It does prove to make a difference to people who have large media cards and use heavy data/music/ video etc. That it would take them 5 min to complete a task rather than nearly 25 minutes...
"iPhone would take 23 minutes, the BlackBerry 5 minutes when using direct file transfer"
So if you do use a lot of data transfer it's helpful to you... If all you don't maybe not...
