I have a user who i need to activate on my BES server(Exchange 2003 ). User currently has 2 email addresses associated with his account(ex. and ). I will be activating the phone on BES using his primary email address but will be switching his default reply to address to the address and will be removing the after about a month or so transition perios. Since the phone was activated using the primary SMTP address, do i need to reactive when i change the default SMTP address to the alias@ address?

No. His BES account will be associated with his mailbox in exchange (not just the address).

you can change his primary SMTP address and remove the other one (in exchange) without having to reactivate his handheld.

Hello -

In case anyone find this topic via search, you can also change the SMTP mail address or alias after the fact (after activation) on IBM Lotus Domino as well.

(I was using Domino 7.0.3FP1 and BES 4.1.6 at the time. 7.0.4FP1 and BES 4.1.6 now).
